3/4 Cup All-Purpose Flour
3/4 Cup Milk
4 Eggs
1/2 Tbsp. Equal Gold
1/4 tsp. Salt
1/2 tsp. Vanilla Extract
4 Tbsp. Melted Butter
Your choice of fruits
Custard Sauce:
2 Tbsp. Butter
1 Tbsp. Equal Gold
1 Tbsp. Cornstarch
3/4 Cup Milk
1/2 tsp. Vanilla Extract
How to make:
1. Pre-heat oven to 400°F.
2. Whisk all ingredients (including Equal Gold) except butter & fruits, until smooth.
3. Let batter rest for 30 minutes.
4. Place an 8 or 9-inch cast iron pan or regular baking pan in the oven to heat it up.
5. When ready to make the dutch baby, bring out the pan from the oven and pour the melted butter. Swirl this around the pan.
6. Pour the batter on the pan and place in the oven.
7. Bake for 15-20 minutes until puffy and lightly brown.
8. Fresh out of the oven, place your choice of fruits & custard sauce.
9. Best served warm.
Custard Sauce:
1. Place all ingredients (including Equal Gold) in a sauce pan.
2. Bring to a boil while whisking continuously.
3. Lower the heat and whisk until thick, making sure there are no lumps.
4. Serve warm or chilled.
